Apologies to Colin for not mentioning the quiz in the last notes. The lady with the most correct answers was Gina Brierley and modesty prevents me from naming the man with the most points. We had a very enjoyable evening and Colin will be back, by popular demand, with another quiz evening in the autumn

Nine riders took part in Keith’s foray onto the plain where we covered approximately 100 miles along a combination of metaled and gravel roads. No mishaps on the run but Reg managed to sustain a puncture on the way home.

The Founders Day Relay Rally on Sunday 6^th May had 35 visitors with only one being from our section. This is a vast improvement on the last time. Perhaps this was due to the weather or the new checkpoint or both. Many thanks to our six marshals.

Sadly, I have to report the death of Dave Cox on Monday 7th May. The funeral is planned for 22nd May at the Haycombe Cemetery, Bath. Further details will follow when they are confirmed.

Please find attached the recommendations for the future of the VMCC which has been sent out from the management committee. I would like to discuss this at a section meeting so that we can make comments/ideas back to Allen House.
